A common Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) we receive is, How much will my property rent for? Our CEO, Melanie McFarlane was recently interviewed on Business Trends TV to answer this FAQ.

Ryan (Interviewer): Ryan here with Business Trends TV and  I have Melanie on with MCM Property Services in Baulkham Hills and one of the questions we got from our viewers is why should I pick MCM to manage my property?

Melanie: Obviously it’s a really important decision you make as a landlord as to who’s going to look after your property for you. I suppose the really key things and some differences that MCM has over some of the other agencies, we are a specialist property management business so that all we do, were not focused on sales, were not focused on getting managements to be able to sell them, we are focused on getting managements because we want to be able to look after your property for you so that’s a really key part of our business model. The other thing is where a small boutique independent agency so that means you gets really personalised service. Basically if you pick up the phone you’re going to talk to me, you’re not going to be pushed into using other people, you’re not going to have a revolving door of property managers coming through and not knowing how looking after our property, you know I'm the owner of MCM property, I’m the property manager for MCM property so you can rest assured your property will always be looked after by a person whose got a lot of years’ experience in the industry. I know what I’m doing in this field, you can be confident of that. The other really important thing is my business philosophy is being about you know communication, good service so were very big on as I said being very personal without landlords and tenants, we get to know each other pretty well throughout the process, I’m always on the phone or on email so everything comes through to me, if you need something its pretty easy to get hold of me and get information you need. with that service focus we also have a lot of online tool as well for out landlords and our tenants, so we’ve got a log in portal were they can log into our system and be able to review all their information whenever they need it so if its outside at business hours and you want to look at your statement, or see when the tenant has paid up to you can get all that information sort of straight away. you can download the statement, you can look at any notes or documents that I’ve uploaded for you so it’s a cool fantastic system that we’ve utilised and were getting some really great feedback from our landlords and our tenants who want to see where they're paid to with their rent. Because of our service focus one thing that we do offer is a service guarantee so if were looking after your property and for whatever reason you’re not happy with the service that you’re getting from us then we won’t charge you for that month so we'll refund any management fees that have been charged for that month and really talk to you about what happened and why you’re not satisfied and work extremely hard to rectify that and make sure that you are. At the end of the day our core focuses us on having really happy landlords, really happy tenants and that for me in really rewarding. If you’re a new landlord and you are looking around for different property managers one of the things that we do offer as an incentive, or something for you to think about making a move, or indeed joining MCM landlords if we give you a one month’s trial period so you can connect with us, we can start looking after your property and you won’t pay any management fees in that first month so that just gives you  a bit of trial period to make sure your happy and then if your happy we continues on and we’ll do that on that basis.
